In setting the policy for return shipping costs for international returns, a merchant must specify and set a "Flat Rate" amount for each of the currencies international shoppers place orders using (each a presentment currency). This eliminates the need for currency conversions and ensures that refund estimates are calculated accurately.
If a "Flat Rate" amount is not set for a specific currency, any such paid order initiated for return will not yield a shipping label or customs documentation. Instead, the shopper will be provided with the "Return To Address" to ship their return to using their own, externally sourced label.
Note: A currency-specific "Flat Rate" amount will be respected and prioritized over any other set policy or tagging arrangement.
