With Product Recommender, shoppers are presented with a browsable, curated visual list of products, for optional purchase, on the "Return Confirmation" screen at the end of the returns flow.
This personalized discovery experience promotes engagement with your brand and conversion.
How it Works
This list of recommended products is automatically compiled and presented driven by Returnly's machine learning algorithms, accounting for:
- The best selling products for your brand, sorted randomly, or
- The shopper's past product interactions through purchases and returns, sorted by relevance
If a particular product has multiple variants, the first (or "primary") variant with available stock will be presented -- by image and price.
The list will automatically exclude product meeting certain criteria:
- Previously purchased and/or returned by the shopper,
- Out-of-stock or otherwise no longer available for purchase, and
- Priced at $0, i.e. free gifts with purchase
At your discretion, other product can be excluded from being recommended by leveraging our available "Product Recommender Exclusion Tag" -- rtly-do-not-recommend. This tag would be applied at the product level by way of your ecommerce platform:
Shoppers begin and proceed through the returns flow as usual. At flow's end, on the "Return Confirmation" screen, the list of recommended products will be presented within a dedicated "Recommended for you" section.
With Returnly Credit, and where a shopper is issued an Instant Credit to optionally repurchase, each recommended product's price reflects an adjusted cost if the Credit were applied towards purchasing.
Upon clicking through a recommended product's image or description/name, the ecommerce platform-hosted product page will automatically be opened, enabling the shopper to view additional details and/or proceeding with purchasing.
