For merchants who are leveraging Returnly's USPS or Canada Post accounts, there are two ways to review the cost of return shipping labels generated each day:
- By way of the Return Manager's Billing section
- Through Receipts emailed daily
Returnly generated shipping labels will be billed to a merchant either through Shopify Payments or to the card on-file in Returnly under the Your Account > Payment tab. Return shipping labels that are generated each day are captured in batched invoices within the Billing tab of your Returnly instance, as seen below.
The Billing report, downloadable from the blue download link in the right hand corner, is best leveraged for daily totaling of return shipping label generation costs. The report can be leveraged to get a sense for the average cost for labels generated by week/month.
For merchants who are leveraging the "Paid by Shopper" policy, the card on file with Returnly will be billed for all labels generated that day. The customer "pays" the true cost of their label by having their Refund Due amount reduced.
For more granular information on each individual return shipping label's price and any credits applied on the batched invoice you will want to review the daily Receipt, which are emailed to the address on file in Stripe. The credits that can be applied to a shipping label receipt are tied to labels which have since been voided, with the value of the voided label being applied to new label generation. For more information on credits and how they are applied, please review the Unused USPS labels section of the linked Help Center article.
