For merchants who leverage Returnly Credit or Exchanges powered by Returnly Credit, the Transactions dashboard depicts key performance metrics specific to repurchases and/or exchanges, highlighting saved sales and brand loyalty.

In this article, we'll go over the parts that make up the Revenue Dashboards, which in this case is Transactions.
Basic Definitions
Exchanges
- Exchange Volume - The total number of exchanges created within the selected date range.
- Exchange Value - The total value of exchanges created within the selected date range.
- Exchange Conversion - The total volume of exchanges created in a time period divided by the total volume of returns created in that time period.
Repurchases
- Repurchase Volume - The total number of repurchases created within the selected date range.
- Repurchase Value - The total value of repurchases created within the selected date range.
- Repurchase Conversion - The total volume of repurchases created in a time period divided by the total volume of returns created in that time period.
- Repurchase Uplift - The total value of new merchandise purchased using Returnly Credit divided by the original value issued.
Refunds to Gift Card
- Refund to gift card value - The total value of refunds to gift card issued within the selected date range.
- Refund to gift card volume - The total number of refunds to gift card issued within the selected date range.
- Refund to gift card conversion - The total volume of refunds to gift card created in a time period divided by the total number of returns created in that time period.
Revenue - Transactions Dashboard
The only Revenue dashboard currently is the Transaction Dashboard. Here, you can analyze the financial effect that Returnly has on your bottom line.
Under Revenue, you'll see these metrics:
- Revenue at Risk - Total value of all returned items. Returnly works to convert this number into new sales instead of lost revenue.
- Revenue Retained by Returnly (as a number) - The total value retained by Returnly via Exchanges, Instant Credit Repurchases, and Gift Cards.
- Revenue Retained by Return (as a percentage) - The value of revenue retained by Returnly (as a number) divided by Revenue at Risk.
Below those metrics, you can see their relationship visualized as a bar/line chart over time.
Next, under Revenue Retained Overview, you'll see the breakdown of how much New Net Revenue (earned from Instant Credit Repurchases) figures in with your overall Revenue Retained number, and as expressed as a percentage and number.
Next, you'll see the ways Returnly retains and earns revenue at risk. The metrics here are:
- Variant Exchanges (as a figure) - Retained value of exchanges for the same product in a different variant
- Variant Exchanges (as a percentage)
- Product Exchanges - Retained value of exchanges for a different product
- Product Exchanges (as a percentage)
- Instant Credit Repurchases - Value retained by items bought with Instant Credit
- Instant Credit Repurchases (as a percentage)
- Gift Cards - Value retained by refund to store credit
- Gift Cards (as a percentage)
After those metrics, you'll see the relationship of retained value via method over time.
Under New Net Revenue, you'll learn how Instant Credit generates new revenue for your business through Instant Credit and Product Exchanges.
Below, you'll be able to track the different types of returns your customers make.
- Volume of Variant Exchanges - Number of exchanges for variants of the same product
- Volume of Instant Credit Issued - Number of times Instant Credit was issued whether it was used or not.
- Volume of Product Exchanges - Number of exchanges for a different product.
- Volume of Gift Cards - Number of returns made for a gift card.
Below, you can see the relationship of these metrics charted out over time.
Finally, you have metrics for Returnly's Auto-Settlement feature.
- Total Value Refunded - Total value refunded by auto-settlement.
- Total Volume Refunded - Volume of returns processed and refunded automatically.
- Refunded Value Overview - This visualization shows the daily refund value/volume refunded due to auto-settlement.
