Packing slips provide customers with details on the order and the items being shipped.
With each label generated, a corresponding packing slip will be provided for printing and inclusion inside the package. Each packing slip will include line item information on the products associated with the corresponding return label.
How to Access the Setting
On your Return Manager, visit Return Settings, Shipping tab, and scroll down to Additional Settings.
There, you will be able to enable or disable the setting:
- When enabled, a packing slip will be generated together with the shipping label.
- When disabled, only the shipping label will be generated.
How to View a Packing Slip
-
On your Return Manager, visit Manage Returns.
-
Select an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization).
-
On the RMA details page, click download as shown in the image below.

QR Code Returns & Packing Slips
If it’s your requirement to have barcodes/additional text/packing slips, it’s recommended that you do not adopt QR Code Returns at this time. We are working on further iterations on QR Code Returns, so those additional fields/features may be supported in the future. We will update this page as they come.
QR Code Returns: Benefits
- Printerless returns. Many shoppers don't have printers, and thus have to go through great lengths to find a way to print those labels.
- A convenient, contactless experience. Shoppers can simply have a FedEx store associate scan their QR code and complete their packaged drop-off at a variety of FedEx locations they can choose from.
