There are cases where you want to duplicate the Reasons for Returns and apply them towards Exchanges. Other times, reasons for returns differ for returns for exchanges, and they have different criteria for doing so. Regardless of your use case, you can easily achieve that by setting up exchange trigger reasons.
Setup Steps
If you need to enable a set return reason to offer an eligible shopper the opportunity to exchange, visit your Return Manager dashboard. Then, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the Return Settings section.
2. Select the Return Reasons tab.
3. Next to a specific reason, click on the pencil icon and toggle the Exchange switch to on.
4. Click the Save button.
Tip: We recommend not enabling a separate Exchange return reason. For accurate returns reporting and relevant metrics, it's best practice to have a more precise reason trigger the option to exchange, i.e. "Did not fit".
