Hello there and welcome to the April Product Update page! We'll be going over new & upcoming features, updates, and improvements to Returnly below.
*Note: The contents of this page are subject to change within the month that it has been published in. Please check back if there is a pending status on any of these product updates.
First, some exciting news - Returnly will be joining the Affirm family!
We're excited to announce that Returnly has signed an agreement to be acquired by Affirm, a company that shares our passion for empowering brands and improving the lives of our consumers. With our combined resources, we will be able to provide an even higher level of excellence in regards to our products and level of service that you have already come to expect.
Who does this affect?
For our customers and partners, it’s business as usual. Upon completing the transaction, which we expect to occur in the quarter ending June 30, 2021, Returnly will continue to serve merchants providing the instant and easy returns experience that your shoppers have come to expect, as part of the Affirm family. The Returnly team, along with all support procedures, remain unchanged so please continue to use the same channels you’ve been using today.

Auto-Settled Delivered Late RMAs (Update)
Who does this affect?
Any Returnly customer who has Auto-Settlement already enabled will have the ability to enable this feature (this feature is off by default). Connect with your Returnly contact, or our merchant care team at support@returnly.com if you want this feature enabled.
This functionality will save you and those people who operate within your Returns Manager instance a lot of time!
IMPORTANT: We will be retroactively moving all RMAs that have been in the Delivered Late state for more than 180 days to a complete status (via pending refund to complete).
Why the update?
We communicated this update in March, but wanted to reiterate the power of this feature, as well as the retroactive push for all stuck RMAs mentioned above.
As a reminder: Merchants occasionally have RMAs that miss a delivery deadline (MDD, returns that are initiated outside of your Return Policy’s eligibility window). When a RMA reaches this state, manual intervention is usually required to get the RMA to a complete status (eg: canceled, refunded). This burden typically falls on you, the Returnly administrator, or your and/or Returnly's merchant care teams to rectify.
Merchants that have Auto-Settle turned ON will have Delivered Late RMAs automatically settle and follow the below flow:
Delivered Late (Processing) > Pending Refund (Processing) > Refunded (Complete)
Auto-settlement occurs within the amount of days that you designate when you originally set Auto-Settlement up. If you didn't designate a day, then our system default is set to 30 days. To change amount days before Auto-settlement gets triggered, please contact Returnly.
When will this update go live?
This update is live now, but you must contact Returnly to enable this feature for you.
Webinar - The Power of Returnly Credit
What is it about?
Returnly Credit is a powerful lever that you, the merchant, can add on top of the core Returnly Suite experience. However, it is equally important to be able to express the value of this functionality to your shoppers so that they know what it's for and how to use it for maximum effect.
