Overview
The integration between Shipwire and Returnly is a one-way integration that creates a Return Authorization (RA) within Shipwire when a return is initiated through Returnly. The integration also puts a Shipwire order ID / RMA # (Return Merchandise Authorization) on the return shipping label.
As Returnly owns, supports and maintains this integration, technical questions should be addressed to support@returnly.com to ensure a seamless order fulfillment experience.
Prerequisites and How to Get Started
This integration will require set-up configuration by Returnly (with coordination from Shipwire) for which the following details will be needed during Onboarding:
- Your Returnly API token
On your Returnly's Return Manager, visit Integration Tools > API Token tab.
Note: If you do not have Returnly API access, please email sales@returnly.com to upgrade your account.
- Your store URL
- Your Shipwire account credentials with API access
How to Configure Returnly
Auto-restock setting:
-
- Navigate to the Returns Settings menu in your Returnly dashboard.
- Access the Return Policy tab, Additional Settings section.
- Disable the Auto-restock Products option since the 3PL will be handling inventory updates.
Return to Address
Register the return address: visit Your Account > Addresses, Return to Address tab.
How it Works
The Returnly <> Shipwire Returns workflow comprises three main portions:
1.- The customer creates a Return through Returnly Return Center
- The customer initiates their Return via Returnly.
- When Returnly RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations) are authorized, they trigger the creation of an RA (Return Authorization) within the Shipwire system for processing.
2.- The package gets to the warehouse
For item inspection and exception handling, reach out to Shipwire to discuss the process.
3.- Complete the return.
Once you have inspected the returned item and updated the inventory with Shipwire, there are two options to refund the RMA:
- Manually via Returnly
or
- By leveraging Returnly’s auto-settle feature. For further details on Auto Settlement, check this article.
