Returnly <> NetSuite Integration App
We've partnered with Nova Module who built the NetSuite certified (BFN) Returnly <> NetSuite Integration App on Celigo’s integrator.io platform.
This integration eliminates manual processes by creating and syncing Return Authorization (RA or RMA) records & credit memos in a merchant’s NetSuite account to provide an accurate audit trail of returned items.
Merchants do not need to integrate to their 3PL as NetSuite sends the necessary receiving information to the 3PL.
If you need technical support specific to the Returnly <> NetSuite Integration App, contact Nova Module as they manage, host, and monitor the integration.
Prerequisites and How to Get Started
- NetSuite Connector
The integration is not dependent on an ecommerce platform. The only requirement is a connection between the merchant's ecommerce platform & NetSuite (e.g. Shopify <> NetSuite Connector).
- Nova Module (or Celigo) agreement
Merchants must contact Nova Module (or Celigo) and sign an agreement (set-up + monthly fee) to enable this integration.
As set-up & onboarding is managed by Nova Module, you must contact them to start the integration process along with the following details:
- Returnly API access
Partner/Merchant can access API token via merchant Returnly dashboard:
Access Integration Tools > API Token tab.
Merchants on an Annual plan: they can generate their API token.
Merchants on a Monthly plan should reach out to sales@returnly.com to upgrade their account.
- Green Returns
This integration can support Green Returns.
Merchants must alert Nova Module if they plan to use Returnly's Green Returns product.
How It Works
The standard integration is responsible for performing the following 3 actions:
- Syncs authorized RMAs from Returnly to NetSuite (creates an RA in NetSuite)
An authorized return is exported from Returnly and imported into NetSuite as an RA record in a pending receipt status.
The RA record in NetSuite is tied to a pre-existing sales order and a cash sale or an invoice record in NetSuite.
- Exports Return Receipt from NetSuite to Returnly (leverages Returnly’s Refund API to trigger refunds)
An item receipt is created against a corresponding RA and NetSuite, then the NetSuite item receipt triggers a refund to be processed in Returnly for a relevant sales order.
- Syncs Refunds from Returnly to create NetSuite Credit Memos (Receipt of the successful refund)
A Credit Memo is based on the refunded sales order data processed by Returnly.
How to Configure Returnly
Disable the Auto-restock Products option as Returnly will not be handling inventory updates.
-
- Navigate to the Returns Settings menu in your Returnly dashboard.
- Access the Return Policy tab, Additional Settings section.
