Rate Shop Across Carriers allows you to get the cheapest label for your returns, thus reducing operational cost, and for your customers to have the best experience for the lowest shipping fee.
Benefits

Checking rates across configured carriers: When generating a return shipping label for a customer, Returnly will check rates from all your configured carriers, and purchase the cheapest available label for that specific shipment.

Best carrier account to use across all labels: Rate shopping for all available carrier accounts for all labels of a return, thus your customers wouldn't need to drop items off at multiple locations.
- Serving addresses which otherwise wouldn't be supported by one specific carrier: By using multiple carriers to fill in gaps where one carrier may not be able to serve an address, you would be able to support additional addresses such as the following:
Military bases
PO Boxes
American Territories

FAQs
Q. Does rate shopping work for international shipments?
A. No. Currently, rate shopping is for domestic US shipments only.
Q. Will the rate shopping tool override Returnly Tags that are in place to route a specific product?
A. No. The presence of any custom carrier account tags on a return will bypass the rate shopping process.
Use Case: Custom Carrier Account Tag for specific items
When the nature of the item requires a specific carrier. In those instances, Returnly will not override those tags.
Example: Products that contain lithium batteries such as laptops, mobile phones, or measurement equipment. Those items must be packed and shipped in a specific way. Hence, the importance of tagging that item appropriately.
Q. What carriers does rate shopping across carriers support?
A. Rate shopping is available for all supported domestic EasyPost accounts. Currently, the supported EasyPost accounts are: USPS, FedEx, FedEx Smart Post, DHL, UPS, UPS Mail Innovations
