Overview
Returnly <> Exenta Integration
This integration eliminates manual processes by creating and syncing Return Merchandize Authorization (RMA) records & credit memos in merchant’s Exenta account to provide an accurate audit trail of returned items.
In addition, merchants do not need to integrate Returnly to their 3PL as Exenta sends the necessary receiving information to the 3PL.
If you need technical support specific to the Returnly <> Exenta integration, contact the Exenta / Aptean Support team as they manage, host, and monitor the integration.
Prerequisites and How to Get Started

As set-up & onboarding is managed by Exenta, you must contact them to start the integration process along with the following details:

How It Works
This integration creates RMAs within Exenta each time a return is initiated, and refunds upon item receipt by Exenta.
Exenta ERP <> Returnly integration workflow:
-
RMA is generated in Returnly.
-
RMA information is imported into Exenta and a Return Authorization is automatically created.
-
Return Authorization is communicated to the 3PL. 3PL will send the Return receiving file back to Exenta updating the return authorization as received.
- Exenta calls the Returnly Refunds API which will trigger Returnly to refund in Shopify based on what was received.
- Exenta creates the credit memo and the inventory is updated.
-
Return is complete
How to Configure Returnly
Disable the Auto-restock Products option as Returnly will not be handling inventory updates.
-
- Navigate to the Returns Settings menu in your Returnly dashboard.
- Access the Return Policy tab, Additional Settings section.
